The Child and Youth Advocate has two toll-free lines that you can call from anywhere in Canada.

If you need Advocacy Services, the toll-free number is 1-800-661-3446.

If you are calling about Legal Representation for Children and Youth,
the toll-free number is 1-888-890-2020.

Using the RITE telephone system

If you are calling in Alberta, the government RITE telephone system can connect you toll-free to any provincial government office. To locate someone in our program, dial 310-0000 and then enter the telephone number of one of our offices to be connected.

If you are deaf or hard-of-hearing

You can call us toll-free during our office hours from 8:15 to noon and 1:00 to 4:30 in the afternoon.  Call the Alberta Government TTY Data Line at 1-800-232-7215 and ask for the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate for your area.

In the northern part of the province, ask for Edmonton 422-6056.

In the southern part of the province, ask for Calgary 297-8435.
